Hi! I am beginning my sixth year at Medlock Bridge. Prior to coming to Fulton County, I was employed for three years at Sharon Elementary School in Forsyth County as a Special Education Paraprofessional. During that time I achieved teaching certification from the University of Georgia in Special Education. I am originally from Northeast Ohio where I graduated from Baldwin Wallace College with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Fine Art. I was able to utilize my education in the field of Graphic Arts and later in Social Services before moving to Georgia in 2005. I am no longer married but spend a lot of time with my sister and her family. I have a spoiled little ShihTzu named Mikey. I am so excited to work with your child this year!
Lindsay Padgett Special Education Teacher
I am originally from Southeast Alabama and grew up in a small town named Abbeville. My mother is a retired Speech-Language Pathologist and my father owns a few furniture stores in the Wiregrass area. I have an older brother who currently works at Turner as a television editor here in Atlanta. I attended Auburn University for both my Bachelor and Masters degrees. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Collaborative Special Education (K-12) and then went on to receive my Masters in Early Childhood Special Education (birth -9). I’ve lived in Atlanta for 13 years and am beginning my 13th year teaching. Time flies! I began my teaching career in Gwinnett County as a preschool special education teacher. I had a wonderful 6 years before I made the transition to Fulton County Schools. I was the lead teacher in the PSE classroom here at Medlock Bridge for 3 years before moving to the Inclusion classroom. This will be my 5th year as the PK Inclusion teacher! My husband and I have been married for 7 years and we have two precious children, Henry (4 years) and Corinne 15 months), as well as a spunky pup named Ellie Bean. My mission is to provide your child with a loving and positive environment that facilitates learning and growth in every area of their development. I feel very fortunate to have a career that brings so much joy to my life. Thank you for sharing your children with us and we look forward to a wonderful year of fun and learning!
